Frank Hadlich Passacaglia is one of the loveliest works of mighty JSB. While I adore HB's playing and his wonderful digital instrument as well, I admit that this record is jaw dropping for me. Favorite track: Passacaglia & Fugue in Cminor BWV582.

Hugh Banton has had a lifelong career as an organist and electronics engineer. He has been organist with prog-rock pioneers Van der Graaf Generator from 1968 until the present day, as well as Technical Director at church organ manufacturer Makin Organs during the 1980s & 90s.

The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer.
